No matter what forming section! No matter what paper grade! No matter what machine! With Primoselect Heimbach offers you an innovative forming fabric, which combines optimum drainage with the best runability. The foundation for this is an innovative weave concept, which is unique on the market.
Primoselect paves the way for unexpected flexibility: the special weaving pattern allows options to suit your specific wishes. You can choose between:
SSB forming fabric woven using 24 harness technology, which allows 6 shaft machine side construction to promote improved life potential. Available with 2 or 3 shaft paper side construction and 3:2, 2:1 or 1:1 weft ratio. Duralon, a patented machine-side weft material, is also available in Primobond designs to further improve life potential and reduce power consumption. The Primobond family has options in HD, F, SF or XF depending upon application or paper grade. The XF design benefits from Stabilon high modules machine direction yarns which promote high FSI without compromise to dimensional stability. A Primobond specification should be available to clothe all former types making all paper grades.
Double layer fabrics in 8- or 16- shaft construction with optional extra weft technology on the paper side. Duralon, the patented machine side weft material, is also available as an option to promote increased life potential and reduced energy consumption. Primoplan fabrics can clothe all former types making all papergrades.
Fast Forward is a module made from special high-tech material that provides a significant acceleration of start-up and is available for almost all Heimbach press felt designs. While conventional felt constructions without special jump starter take between two and five days to reach full machine speed, the start-up time with Fast Forward shortens to a few hours. A reduces speed of 100 m / min over two days, twelve times a year, already means an annual loss in the millions (medium-width machine).
Fast Forward can run on almost all machine types.
Atrojet is the unique press felt with a highly flexible, adaptable multiaxial non-woven module:
The base of Atrocross is composed of non-woven substrate layers positioned flat on top of one another both in the cross-direction and in the machine direction. The fast start and the good dewatering of Atrocross can be explained by the combination of three significant constructional features:
Atrocross - non-woven technology for high-speed machines producing printing and writing paper grades - "the" standard for shoe presses. Different designs cater for different application requirements by adjustments to the modular structure / construction.
Atromaxx – the multiaxial module concept from Heimbach distinguishes itself by the selected combination of warp knitted and woven single base layers adapted to the specific demands of press configuration and paper grade. The wide range of combination possibilities provided by the modular construction technique enables fine adjustment to individual positions. Atromaxx is also available with seam.
Atronet was founded upon the proven atrocross concept. A compression layer is located between support structures to provide superior dewatering performance over the full felt lifetime. CD moisture profiles are very consistent with atronet, and the "money triangles" at both the beginning and end phases of felt life are effectively eliminated.
The product is specifically adapted for application on high-speed machines producing graphic and lightweight packaging papers.
With yamabelt. Heimbach offers another product for application within the shoe presses. Against former times when shoe press belts had been regarded as roll covers this point of view has changed dramatically in the past few years. Heimbach has recognized this trend and it was possible to win a competent partner across the dewatering processes of a shoe press with Yamauchi as producer of the yamabelt.
With implementation of Yamauchi´s KnowHow into adequate belt designs and the proven (dewatering) strengths of Heimbach press felts in shoe presses it was possible to combine both products into a package that positively influences the efficiency and runnability of shoe presses.
Yamabelt. provides excellent mechanical and chemical resistance by the use of a complete new family of Polyurethanes. New and patented solutions of edge relief designs prevent from the well known problems of belt cracks especially in the shoe edge areas of the pressbelts. As well the doctoring of the shoe press belt is being optimized by means of a special surface treatment of the Polyurethane within the grooves. With this solution higher dry contents after the press section can be obtained.
In summary it can be stated that by common installation of a yamabelt. as well as a adequately designed Heimbach press felt a perfect symbiosis for best press runnability will be created.
Transferbelts are a well established means for sheet transfer between press and dryer sections. In order to develop a new concept for transferbelts, Heimbach made use of the known strengths and weaknesses of products already in use in these positions and created the best possible design from that information.
Webmover can be described as a „transportbelt in the conventional sense without dewatering function“. Its patented porous, smooth surface with special topographical features guarantees trouble free sheet transfer, excellent sheet support and problem free sheet separation to the dryer section. Due to the very uniform material distribution in the cross section of the Webmover any water up take has minimal influence on its dimensions which provides the papermaker with extra security regarding runnability.
In general it can be said that the installation of transferbelts provides an ideal solution for the complete closing of open draws and the optimisation of sheet control.
Secoplan fulfills all the demands on a dryer fabric – evenly and in a balanced way. Secoplan are available in a comprehensive range of graded air permeabilities for all positions.
The known and established SECOPLAN-family has grown: The new qualities O, X and A will further strengthen the Heimbach product range for dryer sections from now on. Improve your paper quality, increase productivity and increase cost efficiency with the new OXA-fabrics. Profitability, that pays off.
Our single-layer fabric benefits from excellent dimensional stability as well as an extremely high resistance to stretching so that even modern high speed machines with their short fabric lengths can be optimally clothed. The very low internal void volume of these designs significantly reduces water carry.
In the case of SECOPLAN.X made of 100% flat monofilament we have two identical surfaces. This provides the fabric with a large abrasion capacity on paper and machine side. In the seaming area every second filament is protected which means an increased lifetime can be expected.
The SECOPLAN.A design made of 100% monofilaments also possesses a very fine paper side for ideal heat transfer. The open machine side helps provide increased evaporation.
Secolink.SF is the thinnest spiral fabric available on the market. Thanks to its flat monofilament spirals it stands out due to a very large contact area and a fine, homogenous topography as well as a uniform seam area. The design is especially suited to marking-sensitive positions on paper machines producing fine paper grades, as well as for positions after coating stations.
Secolink.F , also a flat monofilament spiral fabric with a very large contact surface, is made out of more resistant spirals for higher abrasion resistance.
