Congratulations to our trainee!

The Aachen Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) recently honored the candidates of the winter semester 2023/2024. Nine percent of the total of 1,161 trainees in the Aachen chamber district graduated with the grade “very good”. One of the top trainees is our colleague Michael Kurth, who completed his training as an industrial clerk and works in our HR department at the Düren site.
We are delighted for him and were able to conduct a short interview with him.

First of all, we would like to congratulate you on passing your apprenticeship as an industrial clerk. How do you feel after the exam?
Thank you very much! I feel relieved and very happy. Looking back, starting my career felt easier than I had imagined at the beginning of my training.

It's great that you're still part of the team. What are the reasons for this and what's next for you?
I like it here at Heimbach. The atmosphere in the company is very pleasant and I see a wide range of development opportunities here. I am currently training to become a state-certified business economist alongside my job. After that, I would like to specialize in human resources and possibly gain further qualifications.

What did you like best about your apprenticeship?
The variety of tasks and the opportunity to work in different departments.

How did Heimbach support you during your apprenticeship?
I was very well prepared for the final exams through regular training and internal lessons.

You passed your final exams with the grade 'very good' and are one of the best in NRW. What can you recommend to your fellow trainees?
My personal tip is: take advantage of the learning opportunities, ask lots of questions and prepare for the exams continuously. Stay motivated and organized, then you can achieve excellent results.

Thank you very much for the interview and good luck for the future!
