Heimbach Group Gets Paper Machines Going

Forming Section

This is where the most important/relevant paper qualities are established, such as formation and filler distribution. Sheet formation ranges from a density of solids of approx. 1% at the head box to a dry content of 20 - 22% at the suction roll.

Heimbach-Group with its product base offers a well-rounded spectrum of forming fabrics for the production of all paper grades. Custom made applications as well as a varied choice of versatile standard forming fabric designs complete the circle.
Press Section

The dewatering process is continued in the press section. Water still contained in the sheet is being pressed out in the nip, creating paper surface properties such as roughness and smoothness.

The variety of technologies to choose from is especially apparent in the different constructions of our press felts. Woven- and multi-axial technologies as well as modern seam felt production are the most up to date production methods at present. A variety of press felts produced by conventional weaving methods completes the range of products for the press section.
Dryer Section

Water logged in the fibres is being disposed of in the dryer section by guiding the sheet over heated cylinders, bringing the dry content to a rest humidity of approx. 5 %.

Tailor made for each individual application in the dryer section, the Heimbach product base has a wide variety of woven dryer and spiral fabrics to offer for all types of dryer section installations.
